Which test will I sit?
It is not a choice. USCIS uses the date your Form N-400 was filed, and nothing else — not your interview date, not which test you would prefer.
There is no “2020 version”
USCIS published a 128-question test in 2020 and withdrew it in February 2021. The 128-question test in use now is a different one — the 2025 civics test, publication M-1778 (09/25) — which took effect on 20 October 2025. Practice material labelled “2020” is teaching a test nobody sits.
